Welcome to the Hambleton and Richmondshire Junior Football League website

We provide football for boys and girls with leagues from Under 7s to Under 11s covering an area in North Yorkshire roughly west of the A19. We are particularly wanting to encourage mixed teams in an area with very limited girls only football. Being a small league we are very flexible and we're keeping our registration open much longer than other local leagues; at least until 8th August and possibly later. We'd be delighted to welcome new teams into our Charter Standard league.

Our season will be broken into three phases; playing outdoors up until December, then indoors over winter and back outdoors in spring with cup competitions running at the end of the season. Our indoor Futsal league is very popular and keeps us playing if the weather is bad - you can never tell with our weather!

Sponsorship news - Cecil M Yuill renew their support!

We are delighted to announce Cecil M. Yuill have renewed their sponsorship for the League for 2017/18.

Laws of the Game 2016/ 2017

The International FA Board (IFAB) held in Cardiff on 5, March 2016 approved the most comprehensive revision of the Laws of the Game in IFAB’s 130 year history.

The aim was to make it easier for everyone involved with football to read and understand the Laws and, to achieve this; the Law book has been restructured and more than 10,000 words removed.

Another aim was to ensure that the Laws are appropriate for football in the 21st Century and changes have been made so that the Laws are up to date, consistent and promote ‘fair play’.

It is vitally important that all of our Leagues, Clubs and Match Officials are fully aware of the revised Laws of the Game for season 2016/2017 and as such we would appreciate your support in communicating these significant changes which are effective from 01, June 2016.
